An overall 6.5 with one band at 5.5 fails most direct-entry conditions, which ask for 6.0 in every component. You have three routes: retake, take a pre-sessional English course, or apply to universities with lower band floors.
A pre-sessional adds six to ten weeks and around £2,000 but is accepted by most UK universities and keeps your start date.
One Skill Retake is now available in many countries, letting you retake a single component instead of the whole test. It is cheaper and faster than a full resit.
