Student visa with Certificate of Eligibility

• Processing time: 1–3 months for the CoE, then about a week for the visa
• Money you must show: About ¥1,200,000 a year, or a scholarship award letter
• Work rights: 28 hours a week with permission; job-hunting visa after graduation
